Additional Property Attributes

Property is planned to be used for a private, for-profit County Ambulance Service, which is expected to generate approximately $150,000 of leveraged funds and approximately 10 to 15 permanent jobs.

Former Use: The property consists of undeveloped land covered in grass and other vegetation. Access to the property is from the west via South 3rd Street. The surrounding area is characterized by commercial and residential uses. According to Mr. Jack Gilfoy, Major of Clinton, the property was formly a roofing company until the 1970s. Mayor Gilfoy recalls that pails leaked and tar was in contact with the ground surface. The building was reportedly demolished in the 1980s or 1990s. Historical records show that prior to the 1960s the property was used as a lumber yard, paint and wallpaper building, and as a canning factory until 1947.
