Additional Property Attributes

The property is currently paved and used as a parking lot by the City of Bishop. There is suspected contamination from fuel oil for heating that may have been utilized by the school, and the possibility of and underground storage tank. Soil contamination from asbestos, lead-based paint, and mercury is also possible, due to the age of the buildings that were previously on-site before the site was paved. The City is requesting a Phase I ESA in order to determine the best future use and redevelopment options for the site.

Former Use: The City of Bishop acquired the parcels from the Bishop Union Elementary School District in 1967, 1974, and 1975.
