Additional Property Attributes

Building to be purchased and updated for start-up butcher shop

Former Use: Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the subject property was originally developed with a residence prior to 1895. The residence was demolished and the property was redeveloped in 1920 with the northern portion of the current building. An addition was completed to the southern portion of the building in 1958. Former occupants included various bakeries, retail stores, and/or restaurants from at least 1929 until 1972. Additionally, a drycleaner was present in the western portion of the building in at least 1934. The occupants associated with the building from 1972 until 1984 could not be determined through review of historical sources; however, the current owner indicated that the building was occupied by a restaurant prior to his purchase of the property in the mid-1980s. The building has been occupied by the current wood/metal fabrication business since 1984 and operations have included cutting, assembly, and limited painting of various wood and metal products.
