Site was former brick mfg facility. Phase I ESA conducted by another party in November 2014. Met ASTM standards, so was able to use the info to go to Phase II. SSQAPP approved, field work conducted, initial lab results reviewed and discussed with buyer, seller and City. Minor arsenic concentrations found in surface soil samples. Additional sampling may be required.

Former Use: Property is owned by Brickyard Landing, Inc. and is located on Island Way in Decatur, Alabama. The property is vacant and has not been assigned an address. Was previously used as brick mfg. facility dating back to 1920s. 1.9 acres. No structures present- vacant field. Various ownership over the years. Former shipyard located adjacent. Use for brick mfg and adjacent shipyard identified as RECs in the Phase I ESA . Located adjacent to new Decatur Pavilion. Potential hotel development site. Developer wants to mitigate potential environmental issues prior to purchase. SSQAPP and Phase II conducted.
