Additional Property Attributes

Proposed project consists of redevelopment and rehabilitation of the five-story building for mixed residential/commercial use. Transaction closed and redevelopment planning is underway.

Former Use: The subject property was originally developed for industrial purposes in 1872, which included the initial construction of the current building (i.e., five-story portion). The northern portion of the current building was originally constructed in 1961 as a separate commercial building; however, the building was later connected to the original portion of the building after the completion of a large addition in 1982. A gasoline service station was present in the northern portion of the property from at least 1959 until 1968. Numerous smaller structures were present on the property historically that were associated with the larger manufacturing operations and were generally used for storage purposes, oil houses, or as steam dry kilns. The property has primarily been occupied by various furniture manufacturers from initial construction of the building; however, no manufacturing operations have been present in the building since at least 2001.
