Additional Property Attributes

An unoccupied building was located on the property. The assessment activities conducted as part of this cooperative agreement were used to leverage private funding for asbestos abatement and demolition activities in September 2017. The property is currently green space (vacant) and has been graded to match existing adjacent surface elevation and seeded. Future plans include constructing a parking lot to compliment the adjacent Lamb-Basham Funeral Chapel.

Former Use: The property building was demolished in 2017. The property has been transformed into green space. Past uses of the property include a black smith shop from circa 1907 to 1928 and a drycleaning facility (Kleen Rite Kleaners) from 1948 to 1997. The property is currently owned by Jerry L. Basham. Past ownership includes Gilbert and Wanda Shaw, Willard and Beatrice Skinner, William and Colene Sullivan, and K&C Enterprises Inc.
