Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is approximately 3.68 acres in area and consists of one parcel as noted above. The site consists of one church hall, a residence (currently used by RBOE as offices), two small storage buildings, an automobile storage garage, and paved parking and landscaped areas. The northern portion of the site was occupied by one residential-sized structure in 1900. Between 1900 and the early 1930s the site was developed with St. Mary Magdalenes Church and School (St. Mary). St. Mary and one residence occupied the northern portion of the site until 1971 when a church hall was constructed between St. Mary and the residence. An automobile storage garage was constructed to the rear of the residence after 1970 and two storage buildings were constructed on the western portion of the site in the mid-1980s. St. Mary was demolished in 1999 and the former church area was redeveloped as a paved parking lot. The site has been occupied by the church hall and a residence and utilized by Rossford Schools as a hall and offices since 1999. The southern portion of the site has remained undeveloped and/or landscaped land. observed one approximately four-inch diameter metal pipe extending from the ground surface southeast of the existing church hall building in close proximity to the former St. Mary building footprint. Mr. Ron Weeks, RBOE Maintenance Manager, did not know the purpose of the pipe and noted it may be an old well. The unknown use of the pipe, which could be associated with an underground storage tank (UST), is considered to be a REC in connection with the site.
