Additional Property Attributes

The Old High School Building in Scammon Bay is of concern to the community due to its poor condition and potential for hazardous building materials. The building has been abandoned for over 15 years and the community is eager to identify and clean up hazards associated with the building so that the property can be reused as a multi-use office building and shelter for women and children. A hazardous building materials survey and limited soil sampling are expected to occur in late spring/early summer 2025.
