Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Site continuously operated as an industrial manufacturer since the 1880s. Manufacturing activities conducted at the Site included metal casting, machining, and painting. Other manufacturing activities conducted at the Site consisted of tool manufacturing, grinding, machining, and finishing. Based on available data, most manufacturing operations appear to have been concentrated in the southwestern, west-central, and northeastern portions of the Site. The following summarizes the operational history of the Site since site development in the 1880s: 1. A foundry/metal casting, machining, and painting facility operated in the southwest portion of the property during the 1880s. 2. A woodworking, painting, machining, and small lumber yard operated in the northwest portion of the property in the 1890s. 3. A tool manufacturing, grinding, machining, and finishing facility operated in the southwest and west central portion of the property in the 1880s and 1900s. 4. Auto parts manufacturing, machining, grinding, woodworking, finishing, hazardous material storage and spray booths were located near the center of the property from the 1930s to the 1970s. 5. An incinerator was located at the northeast portion of the property from the 1930s to the 1970s. 6. Various machine shops, auto repair shops, and other industrial operations have occupied the property from the 1970s to present. 7. A registered hazardous waste generator (of ignitable wastes) occupied a portion of the property from the 1980s through the 1990s.
