Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on the historical records and interviews, the current residence was constructed in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Although not found during this assessment, in our experience with similar properties in the area, commonly encountered conditions at older residential communities include lead in shallow soil and organochlorine pesticides. Another condition, although less common, is un-documented historical burn pits. In our experience, there is the potential for exported soil to be considered a waste. If the site is to be redeveloped, ACM and lead-based paint should be evaluated prior to raz-ing of the site buildings. Additionally, the presence of lead and termiticides (organochlorine pesticides) in shallow soil should be evaluated. These chemicals are common in older resi-dential communities and are not indicative of releases, as they have been used as intended (paint and pesticide applications).
