Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: A dike or man-made stream originating from the adjacent Sudbury River and discharging to two off-site ponds was constructed at the site circa 1940, concurrent with clearing activities. Construction of greenhouses and use of the site for commercial nursery/garden center purposes began circa 1985. A release of heating oil from above-ground storage tanks occurred in 1997 and was reported to MassDEP. Subsequent cleanup activities reportedly achieved a Permanent Solution and condition of No Significant Risk The Town intends to acquire the Site or the development rights of the Site for conservation purposes.
