Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property encompasses approximately 4.25 acres of land and is currently comprised of two separate buildings located on the northeast and southwest portions of the property while the remaining portions of the property are mostly covered with grass. A circular gravel drive is located on the north portion of the property to provide access to the rear of the two buildings. The subject property is located on the east side of North Market Street and north side of East Falconer Avenue. The subject property has been developed prior to 1887, which are the oldest records found for the site. The site was shown to be developed as a Grist Mill and Gin in 1887 and was developed into the Holly Springs Water and Power Plant by 1902. The City of Holly Springs used the site for a variety of purposes between 1902 and 2003. The site was used for the water and power plant, police station, fire station, and a steam laundry. The City vacated the property around 2005. The property has been owned by the City of Holly Springs since 1902.
