Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site was developed in 1911 for residences which were subsequently demolished and redeveloped in 1927-1928 into the Ambassador Hotel and Apartments Building. This was used for residential apartments for managers and supervisors at US Steel until 1960s. Was abandoned and unmaintained until the early 1970s when it was rehabilitated for low-income housing until 1985. It has remained derelict and exposed to elements since 1985.
