Additional Property Attributes

Owellie Investments, LLC provides office space for 18 businesses and 40 to 50 employees at their building at 1590 Shawano Avenue. In 2015, a sump and injection pit malfunction caused the office buildings basement to flood. A sheen and strong fuel oil odors were observed on the water, which forced all of the buildings tenants to vacate the property until air quality could be restored to safe levels. Unbeknownst to the property owners, the buildings boiler system previously used fuel oil as its fuel source. An out-of-service fuel oil UST was discovered as a result of this spill. EPA Brownfields Grant funds were utilized for the spill investigation and SSSAP. Without the grant funds, tenants may not have been forced to relocate permanently and the property owner/landlord may have lost their business.

Former Use: This 1.7 acre property was developed in the mid 1970s as an office building and has been a commercial office since that time. The property is currently occupied and is owned by Owellie Investments, LLC, who bought the property in 2013.
