Additional Property Attributes

From ADEC review: The ive of the project was to determine if releases of chlorinated solvents had occurred at the locations of former dry cleaning operations present within the redevelopment area that could potentially cause a risk to human health or the environment. Passive soil-gas samplers were deployed at 25 locations across the project area and two groundwater wells were sampled in areas where soil gas data suggested the potential presence of contaminants. Passive soil-gas samples were collected using Waterloo Membrane Samplers deployed into 10-foot deep boreholes for a period of three days. PCE or 1,1,1-trichloroethane were detected at 6 locations, however none of the detections exceeded the residential target levels. Carbon tetrachloride was detected in November 2015 at one location at 1,600 ug/m3, which is above the residential and commercial screening levels of 41 ug/ m3 and 200 ug/ m3, respectively. A second sample from this location in March 2016 contained carbon tetrachloride at 210 ug/ m3. Sample locations are approximately 50 feet from occupied structures and based on other soil gas samples collected in the same vicinity, these detections are not considered a potential risk to receptors in the area. Based on the results of the soil gas sampling, groundwater samples were collected at two locations. Contaminants were not detected in groundwater above cleanup levels. The report concludes that there are likely no significant source areas in the vicinity of the sampling locations
