Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property was industrially developed as The Boss Washing Machine Co. and the Norwood Water & Light Plant prior to 1904. The Boss Washing Machine Co. factory was destroyed in a fire in 1913 and was rebuilt in 1914. North and south subway lines were tunneled beneath the Property from east to west in the 1920s. Tracks were never laid and the tunnels were filled in and sealed in 2004. Zumbiel Packaging (paperboard products) took occupancy of the Property in the 1940s. Additions to the west side of the Property building were made in 1951. The Norwood Water & Light Plant was razed in the early 1970s and Zumbiel extended the Property building to the east in 1973. Zumbiel vacated the Property in 2011.
