Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property was agricultural or vacant land until sometime between 1938 and 1950, when it was developed with a gasoline filling station and automobile service station. The filling station/automobile service station operated on the Property until the 1970s, when the Property was occupied by a used car dealer. In 1983, the four underground storage tanks (USTs) associated with the gasoline filling station were decommissioned and filled with sand. In 1989, the closed in-place USTs were removed from the Property under the supervision of the City of Battle Creek Fire Marshal. The on-site building was razed in 1992. The concrete foundations associated with the former building and pump islands were left in place. The Property remained vacant land from the 1990s through 2014.
