Additional Property Attributes

The Site is directly across from the Columbia City Light Rail Station. SHA plans to build a market-rate mixed-use building. It includes housing above ground level retail and parking. It will provide 66 affordable housing units. SHA sold the property to BDR Sonata West LLC on 10/25/2016.

Former Use: For over 70 years, the Alaska Mini-Mart Site contained a variety of small-scale retail outlets, including a gasoline station, beauty shop, and a dry-cleaning operation. These past land uses left contaminants, such as hazardous petroleum chemicals, that needed to be cleaned up.
