Additional Property Attributes

Former hot dip galvanizing facility. Elevated levels of Zinc have been found in the soil. The additional sampling will define the extent of contamination and provide data for cleanup planning.

Former Use: The site is a former hot dip galvanizing facility which had pits of various materials used in the galvanizing process. One of the pits which contained zinc appears to have leaked causing contamination in soil and possibly groundwater. 272 Properties LLC purchased the site for their scrap business. They are currently redeveloping the site with recycled materials from various demolition jobs they've worked on. They also participate in a job training program for released inmates to help them in the transition process.
