Additional Property Attributes

The approximately 0.82-acre triangular Site comprises three contiguous parcels located at 1340-1370 West Third Street in Williamsport, Pennsylvania that collectively make up the Site. Historically there were three buildings present on the Site, two were demolished in 2009 and the single remaining structure is currently rented for storage and maintenance of race cars. The remainder of the Site, currently vacant, is rented to Fred Hamm Inc. for storage of dumpsters and roll offs, and to HRI Inc. for staging of construction materials. The Site is owned by Eck Troutman WMSP Theaters LP.

Former Use: Three contiguous parcels (referred to as Parcel 1,and 3) located at 1340-1370 W Third Street make up the Site. Historically there were 3 buildings present on the Site, two were demolished in 2009 and the single remaining structure is currently rented for storage and maintenance of race cars. The remainder of the Site, currently vacant, is rented for storage of dumpsters and roll offs and staging of construction materials. In Parcel 1, a filling station with two USTs operated from at least 1950 - 1976 when the building was transformed into a service garage. Historical records show that the building was originally constructed in 1950 and Ziebart Auto-Truck Rustproofing operated in the Shop Garage around 1976. Ziebart was involved in the rustproofing and undercoating of vehicles. TRC could not confirm when Ziebart terminated operations; however, the Site was vacant from at least 2009 through 2015. The Site representative stated that he began renting the space for storage and maintenance of race cars in July 2015. A filling station with at least 6 USTs was present in Parcel 2 from pre-1950 through at least 1966. A Coal Yard was also present within a portion of Parcel 2 around the 1960s, likely adjacent to the railroad tracks. It appears the filling station was in operation through the 1970s when it was transformed into a vehicle maintenance facility and eventually into a car sales business from around 1994 - 2005. Historical records indicate that Sun Spot Heating and Cooling (which specialized in high-efficiency heat pumps and solar heating systems) occupied the building in the early 2000s. Following demolition of the Site building in 2009, the area has been used for storage of dumpsters and roll-offs. A restaurant occupied the triangular building in Parcel 3 from around 1950-1958. The building eventually became a store and was later occupied by Volkman Electronics during the 1980s. The building was demolished in 2009 and the area is currently vacant.
