The subject site is located 800 Manning Street in Kinston, North Carolina, south of the intersection of Hood Street and Atlantic Avenue and is comprised of one parcel that totals approximately 11.7 acres. The subject site is recorded as Parcel ID Number 452513047216 by the Lenoir County Tax Office. At the time of inspection the subject site was developed with three structures associated with the former textile factory. Based on interview information, aerial photographs, and Sanborn maps, the subject site was developed with the current on-site structures on an unknown date(s) between 1978 and 1994. Prior to 1978, aerial photographs and Sanborn� fire insurance maps show the site occupied by the Glen Raven Cotton Mill and residential dwellings. The site has subsequently been donated to the city. The site was also put into the NC Brownfields Program and is currently subject to a recorded NC Brownfields Agreement.
