Additional Property Attributes

There is an abandoned gravel pit neat the center of the Property. There are also dirt roads running through the Property that access the former gravel pit and the adjoining properties. The City will utilize Brownfields marketing opportunities to help attract developers once the property is cleared for development. A Phase I ESA was completed in which RECs were found.

Former Use: As early as 1952, the Property was undeveloped land. By 1953, the Property was utilized as a gravel pit. The City of Carlin obtained the Property in 1960. It is unknown when the operation of the gravel pit ceased. During the site reconnaissance in 2015, there was evidence of the gravel pit; however, no active mining was taking place.
