Additional Property Attributes

Planned to continue to be used as a community garden.

Former Use: The Site is developed with a community garden in the north portion and City park in the south. The general vicinity is developed with mixed uses that include residential, medical offices, and park land. The Site appears to have been first developed with a single-family residence circa 1935. Former U.S. Department of the Interior fish hatchery ponds located at the Site from the period circa 1950 to 1970 were apparently filled by 1973. The presence of fill of unknown origin at the Site represents a REC due to the possibility that hazardous materials and/or petroleum products were deposited with the fill. The proximity of the Site to Interstate Highway 35 represents a REC due to intensive automotive exhaust that has occurred near the Site prior to phasing out the addition of tetraethyl lead in fuel.
