Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I Environmental Assessment yielded 3 RECs: -Potential impact related to the off-site, adjacent former dry cleaner. -Potential impact related to the off-site, adjacent former chemical and plastic recycler/warehouse; and -Potential impact related to the off-site former gas station to the east. The property owner's intention of the assessment was to determine if he could demolish the building without remediation. He now understands that he needs to abate the asbestos, then can demolish the building.

Former Use: The property was occupied by a 'horse goods manufacturer (harness shop)' as early as 1914. The current on-site building was constructed in 1917. The property was occupied by an electrical supply warehouse and electric light retail activities between 1934 and 2010 (Furbay Electric Supply Co.). The property has remained vacant since 2010.
