Additional Property Attributes

The Property is located on the northwest corner of Tomero Ranch Road and State Route 278. There is an abandoned gravel pit on the southwest corner, a police department shooting range near the center, and dirt roads and BMX tracks running through the Property. The City of Carlin has a housing shortage and would like to market this Property for a housing development to meet demands for new housing. A Phase I ESA was completed in which RECs were found.

Former Use: As early as 1952, the Property was developed with a gravel pit on the west side. Active processing of aggregate does not appear to have occurred at the Property. It appears the operation was used a borrow pit. There was no identified on-site storage of fuel, tanks, or equipment. There was a portable rock screen that was removed in the 1970s; however, it does not appear the there has ever been a large scale screening operation at the Property. In the 1980s, a portion of the gravel pit was bulldozed and reclaimed. By 1982, there was an area leveled and graded near the center of the Property that is used by the police department as a shooting range.
