Install green infrastructureGreen infrastructure includes practices and features to reduce the burden of storm events on local water infrastructure. Examples include green roofs, downspout disconnection, urban tree canopies, rainwater harvesting, rain gardens, planter boxes, green parking (permeable pavement), urban agriculture, and community open space.

8/2/2018 Update: Cleanup of the 3 parcels forming the site was substantially completed during July-Nov 2017. However, closure documentation has not yet been completed. Redevelopment began in July 2017. Construction of the first building (a 2-story bldg with 35 apartments) began in 2017 and was completed in May 2018. A second 35-unit building is under construction and scheduled to open in March 2019. A third bldg (a clubhouse w/ 8 apartments) is also under construction and scheduled to open in May 2019. The entire development (six bldgs w/ 172 apartments) is expected to be completed by 2021 with an estimated total private investment of $28 million.
