Additional Property Attributes

The subject parcel is located in Windsor Center 0.2 miles from the existing AMTRAK rail service. The property contained a 5,600 SQ FT commercial structure and a two-family residential structure, as well as several out-buildings. The buildings were demolished in December 2016. The commercial building and land were occupied for many years by a fuel oil supplier, whose operation was relocated in or around 1988. More recently, commercial building tenants included an antique shop, copy/print center, and a liquor store. Both the commercial and residential buildings are currently vacant. Public water and sewer services are available through the Metropolitan District Commission. Electric, telephone, cable TV and natural gas are all available at the site. In addition to access to rail service, the site has very good access to State Routes 75, 305, 159 and 1-91. A CTTransit bus stop is located across the street. Bradley International Airport is within 9 miles. Site structures were demolished in December 2016. The site is currently in the CT DEEP Property Transfer Program under a Form-III filing in May of 1997.

Former Use: The property contained a 5,600 SQ FT commercial structure and a two-family residential structure, as well as several out-buildings. The commercial building and land were occupied from at least the 1950s to 1988 by a fuel oil supplier. More recently, commercial building tenants included an antique shop, copy/print center, and a liquor store. The buildings were demolished in December 2016. The site was also historically utilized by two gas stations from the 1920s to the 1960s. Also, in the 1990s, a furniture restoration operation was conducted out of one outbuilding.
