Additional Property Attributes

The site is home to the Gerich Service Station, a long time gasoline and automobile service station. Gasoline sales ceased in 2012, however automobile repairs have been conducted on the site from the 1930 's to today. The 1.2 acre site is located near the intersection of Tolland Turnpike and Buckland Street and abuts commercially developed land including the BJ's Warehouse, restaurants and Agway. Phase I and II environmental assessments have identified 18 Areas of Environmental Concern on the property. The site is located in an aquifer protection area serving the Town of Manchester's New State Road public water supply well. The site is located on an arterial road approximately 0.6 miles from a proposed CTfastrak station in Buckland Hills. The site is not currently connected to sanitary sewer, but is located in a sewer service area.
