Former Use: The subject property consisted of wooded land and pasture land from at least 1944 to at least 1971. The subject property was occupied by Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill from 1978 until it went idle in 2008. The property is listed in the 2003, 2008, and 2013 city directories as being occupied by Georgia Pacific. Mr. James Norman with Peterman Mill Project, LLC, the current subject property owner, stated that he has owned the property since 2012 and the property stopped being used as a plywood mill in 2008. Since becoming idle in 2008, the property has consisted of wooded land and vacant/abandoned industrial land.
