Additional Property Attributes

The Site is partially wooded and has a narrow gravel trail generally located along the eastern/central portion of the Site. Phase II ESA activities completed in 2016 included the installation of 30 soil borings for collection of soil and groundwater samples. Due to refusal at shallow limestone bedrock, the majority soil boring depths ranged between 7 & 10 feet BGS. Subsurface soils encountered at the Site included former fill materials consisting of gravel and cinder from rail spur operations, followed by fine-grained sediments consisting of primarily orange silty clays down to the various refusal depths. Evidence of fill material (cinders and and/or coal ash) were detected in twelve (12) of the soil borings and the fill thickness ranged between 0.15 feet (IR-GP28) and four (4) feet (IR-GP24). The depth to bedrock refusal ranged from 7 to 16 feet BGS. The primary contaminants found include both adsorbed and dissolved Metals & SVOCs.

Former Use: The Site is ~100' wide by a mile long & was a former railroad, oriented from N. to S., beginning on the E. side of S. Rogers St, then extending S. to W. Country Club Drive.
