Additional Property Attributes

At the time of the reconnaissance, the Property consisted of approximately one acre of land developed with a two-story 24,343 square foot, former school building. A utility shed was present on the Property�s eastern portion; the remainder of the Property was developed with paved parking and landscaped areas. The Property was located in a residential area. This assessment has revealed no evidence of recognized environmental conditions in connection with the Property except for the following: � The potential for unreported and/or undetected releases of hazardous substances and/or petroleum products associated with � historical building fires in 1892 and 1959; � subsurface piping joints connecting the AST to the on-site building (Section 6.3.2); and � a potential UST located near the northeast corner of the former school. A vent pipe was observed in this location. � The potential for additional environmental impact from the reported release of fuel oil from a former UST in the mid-1980s. The former school was historically heated by a fuel oil UST. The UST and impacted soil were removed from the Property in the mid-1980s.

Former Use: 1883 - 1892 A two-story building that operated as a school was constructed on the Property. The school burned down in 1892. Lawrence County InGenWeb 1892 - 1909 A two-story building that operated as a school was constructed to replace the burned school. The building was moved to a new location in 1909. Lawrence County InGenWeb 1909 - 1924 A four room two-story building was constructed that operated as a school. The building was condemned in 1924. Lawrence County InGenWeb 1924 - 1959 A brick building was constructed on the Property and used as a school until 1959, at which time it burned down. Lawrence County InGenWeb 1959 - 2003 The Property was developed with one building identified as the Huron School Community Activities Center. The remainder of the Property consisted of parking and landscaped areas. A utility shed was added in 1993.
