Additional Property Attributes

An abandoned 1,000-gallon UST is suspected to be located in the sidewalk near the southern boundary of the Property. Soil testing near the suspect UST did not identify a petroleum release to the surrounding subsurface. Redevelopment of the Property likely will necessitate the decommissioning by removal of the UST. UST decommissioning must occur under the oversight of a Washington-certified UST Site Assessor. Additional soil sampling must be conducted at the time of UST removal as per WAC 173-360-390. Redevelopment is planned at Block 10 including: 220,350 square feet mixed use including 250 apartments, a 30,000 square foot grocery anchor, and 277 below-ground parking spaces.

Former Use: Historical documents indicate that the Property was developed with residences, a blacksmith shop and a painting facility as far back as 1888. Other historical uses of the Property have included mixed retail, a machine shop, and a retail gasoline station and automotive repair shop.
