Additional Property Attributes

The property is an approximate 0.13-acre lot and is currently occupied by the Patoka Town Hall. A concrete sidewalk runs along the east border of the building, connecting to the concrete entry ramp to the building. Areas of the property not occupied by the on-site building consist of grass cover and a concrete slab west of the building. No evidence of staining or odor was observed on the ground. The interior of the building was observed in fair to poor condition. ATC observed cracks in the walls throughout the building. Some of the second level ceiling materials were collapsed.

Former Use: The property is currently occupied by the Patoka Town Hall. According to historical records, the west portion of the property was a former filling station and blacksmith shop from approximately 1935 to 1955. The north adjacent property was also used as a Gulf filling station and an automotive shop. On August 31, 2016, one 750 gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UST) was removed from the property in order to safely conduct subsurface assessment activities. Asbestos containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint were identified in the building materials. ATC also found evidence indicating mold impact at the property. The property is currently owned by the Town of Patoka. Past ownership included Paul White and descendants of the White Family from 1926 to 2011 and Herb and Sara Gray in 2016.
