Additional Property Attributes

The Phase II Assessment found TPH and Zylenes in exceedance of the BUSTR Soil Action Levels, in the area of the product lines that run between the UST cavity and Dispenser Island. In addition, groundwater samples exhibited detections of Benzene, Ethylbenzene, Benzo(b)fluoranthene, Benzo(k)fluoranthene, Dibenz(a,h)anthracene, and Indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene. Asbestos Containing Materials are assumed to exist in the roofing materials due to the age of the building.

Former Use: The above named property was previously a Starfire Gas Station that was owned by Premium Petroleum, which has gone out of business. It has a 448 square foot building, built in 1971, on the 1.1 acre property. The gas station has been closed since roughly 2007 2008 and has been sitting vacant since that time. This property is a high-traffic area where Columbus Road intersects Interstate Route 62, and Plain Township officials are eager to get the property re-developed.
