Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: According to Sanborn maps, the Property was the site of the Stevens Oil & Gas Co. by 1926 or earlier. At that time, the Property contained multiple heating oil storage tanks, a possible automobile service building, and a gasoline fueling station. Historical deeds indicate that the Property was sold by the Moore Oil Refining Company to the Pure Oil Company in 1929 including tanks and pumps. A Sanborn map from 1950 depicts the Property as a bulk oil station with seven storage tanks containing heating oil and gasoline. It is not known how many of these storage tanks were aboveground or underground. Deeds indicate the Property was sold to the Neff Oil Company in 1963, then to Joseph Triona in 1970. Peoples National Bank acquired the Property possibly through bankruptcy in 1990. The bank sold the Property to Paul W. Beckett in 1992. The Property was cleared of structures before construction of the current building around 1974. The building has been used as a video and game rental store since 1992; before that it was an auto parts store. The video store closed in December 2015. A one-story garage was added to the building around 1992 and leased to Smock Performance Center, a motorcycle repair business. The business closed around December 2015.
