At the time of the reconnaissance, the Property consisted of approximately 0.127 acres of land developed with an approximately 5,520 square-foot, single-story office building with a partial basement on the northern portion. The building covered the entirety of the Property. Commercial properties were located north, east, northeast, south, and west. Residential properties were located to the southeast, the southwest, and the northwest. This assessment has revealed no evidence of recognized environmental conditions in connection with the Property except for the following: � The historic use of the Property for automobile sales and service with the presence of a gasoline tank in the north-adjoining road (Sections 3.5, 4.4.2, 6.1, and 7.0). � The historic use of the Property for a cleaner business (Sections 4.4.2 and 7.0). � The reported presence of closed-in-place tanks under the building (Sections 6.3 and 7.0). � The historic usage of surrounding properties to the north, northeast, east, and west for painting, automobile sales, service and repair, filling stations, printing, vulcanizing, sheet metal works, laundry, and chemical warehousing (Sections 4.4.3 and 7.0).
Former Use: 1886 - 1914 The Property was developed with three to four buildings, including dwellings, an unidentified building, an ice house, a cobbler, and a saw business. The Property was listed with the addresses of 145 and 147 Broad Street through 1901, when it was also listed with 1109 and 1111 Broad Street. 1109 and 1111 Broad Street were the addresses listed through 1914. 1924 - 1957 The Property was occupied by an automobile sales and service business, named as Koonis Buick Company in 1926, Coburn Motor Company, Inc. in 1932, Goodyear Service Company in 1938, Williams Motor Sales in 1947 and 1953, and VanMatre Pontiac-Cadillac in 1957. In 1924, a gasoline tank was depicted north of the Property within Broad Street. The Property addresses were listed as 1109 and 1111 Broad Street. 1960 - 1968 The Property was developed with two stores. The Property addresses were listed as 1109 and 1111 Broad Street in the 1960 fire insurance map. In 1962, the city directory listed Bradley Hall Furniture Company; in 1968, the city directory listed Paul�s Drive-In Cleaners. 1992 - 2012 In 1992, the city directory listed Henry County Abstract and Nelson Higgs; in 1995, the city directory listed Henry County Abstract Company and occupant unknown; in 1999, 2003, and 2008, the city directory listed Henry County Title & Abstract Company.
