Additional Property Attributes

The supplemental assessment begun in 2015 required removal and closure of an underground petroleum tank in order to adequately assessment site conditions beneath the tank. The site is vacant.

Former Use: The Site consists of an approximately 2.1-acre parcel and is located at 1046 South Main Street; however, the City of Waterbury Assessor�s card lists the physical address as 1056 South Main Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, and the Site is identified as Lot 9 within Block 300 on Map 392. Located on the western side of South Main Street and north of Harvester Road in the south central portion of Waterbury. The Site is located in an area zoned IG, a general industrial district. The former industrial buildings have been demolished, with remaining bricks and demolition debris present in areas of the former buildings. A former industrial waste water lagoon, which has been filled and paved over, was located at the southwestern portion of the Site. An abandoned rail line borders the western property boundary. The property has been vacant for approximately 27 years, and has become overgrown with vegetation.
