Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is currently a 280-acre mixed forested and agricultural use as a horse farm. Available historical aerial photographs and topographic maps indicate that the subject property has been agricultural since at least 1948. PPM observed an area of dirt excavation near the northeast corner of the site. Mr. Campbell, the site manager, explained that the City of Holly Springs excavated dirt from the northeast north of the subject property for the recent roadway construction. PPM observed two ponds on the subject property, including an approximately 175,000 square foot pond near the northeast corner of the site and one approximately 34,000 square foot pond on the central portion of the site. Both ponds appeared to be used to water the horses on the site. The ponds appeared to be clear of visible contamination with healthy vegetation surrounding the shore line and no signs of petroleum staining. Mr. Campbell stated that he was familiar with the subject property for the past 47 years and that he was not aware of any structures currently on the subject property or signs of historical development. Mr. Campbell informed PPM that the site is currently used as pasture land for cattle and horses with fenced off areas to control livestock movements.
