Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Site is located along the western portion of Bridgeport Street, near its intersection with East Sycamore Street, within the Borough of Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The Site encompasses 7.6 acres of land, as depicted on Figure 1-1, Site Location Map. The Site acreage consists of three parcels designated within the Westmoreland County Tax Assessment Database as parcels 21-02-04-0-072, 53-20-08-0-001, and 53-20-04-0-231. The Site parcels were formerly used as the Bryce Brothers glass manufacturing facility from approximately 1896 through 1965, and more recently as a warehouse for the Levin Furniture Company. The warehouse structures burned to the ground in 1998. Mount Pleasant obtained the Site in May 2009 from Sally M. Levin. Currently, the Site is vacant, except for a natural gas well located along the western boundary. RACW and Mount Pleasant retained KU Resources to develop a Site-Specific Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) for the Site in August 2016. KU Resources was then retained to implement the SAP and develop a combined RI/RA Report and CP to pursue the release of environmental liability for the Site available under the Act 2 Program.
