Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Number of Parcels and Acreage - One parcel containing 0.91 acres; Number of Building(s) and Square Footage - No structures present; Current Property Use - Vacant with no occupants. Standard and other historical sources document the property was developed between 1927 and 1949 with two small commercial structures and a portion of a commercial building (associated with the east adjoining property and occupied by Yazoo County Fairgrounds). The buildings were demolished by 1962. The property was formerly occupied by the Yazoo County Fairgrounds from at least 1949 (and possibly as early as 1927) until 1962. In 1965, a commercial structure (occupied by Humble Oil and Refrigeration Company) was constructed on the central portion of the property. Two additional structures were constructed on the property by 1985, and aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) were visible on the eastern portion. The ASTs were removed from the property in 2004, and the buildings were demolished by 2006. The property has been vacant since that time. The property was formerly occupied by Humble Oil and Refrigeration Company in at least 1967; MGM Corporation, an oil company, in 1992; Phillips 66 Bulk Station in 1999; and Bama Waste Oil in 2000. The property has been vacant since at least 2006.
