Additional Property Attributes

The property is currently a vacant bowling alley and apartments. The on-site building consists of a two-story commercial structure with basement. The basement consists of a former pool hall / recreational area with storage rooms and restrooms. The first floor consists of the former bowling alley, a kitchen, and bar area. The upper level consists of three apartments, all vacant at the time of the site reconnaissance.

Former Use: The property is located in an area characterized by mixed commercial and residential land use. The property appears to have been developed for commercial land use since at least 1886 (earliest record identified). The current property building was reportedly constructed in 1927 and based on review of city directories has been occupied by Lucky Strike Bowl and residential apartments. Based on review of fire insurance maps, prior to 1927 the property has been occupied by a jewelry store, dry goods store, agricultural warehouse, lodge, office, general store, and residential apartments.
