Property Highlights

The site consists of 3.35 acres of vacant land. The south end of the site and areas along the east and west site boundaries are densely overgrown with trees and brush. Much of the site appears to be covered with several feet of fill material. A ridge of soil and construction debris ranging from approximately four (4) feet to six (6) feet in height is located along the east site boundary. Historical review indicates the site was occupied by a railroad roundhouse facility from the early 1900s through the 1970s. The roundhouse building and turntable were located on the south portion of the site, and several rail spurs entered the site at the northwest corner and extended south toward the roundhouse. Three (3) fuel oil ASTs were located inside a containment structure on the central portion of the site. The site appears to have been unoccupied since the 1970s and all buildings from the roundhouse facility were removed. Significant dumping and/or fill material from an unknown source is visible across the site on aerial photographs from the 1990s.
