Additional Property Attributes

Project property included in 504-acre conservation easement for flood mitigation, habitat restoration and expanded outdoor recreation. Former Use: Tillamook County acquired the 65.78-acre former Sadri property (Property) located north of Front Street in the City of Tillamook in Tillamook County, Oregon and situated in Section 25, Township 1 South, Range 10 West of the Willamette Meridian (Tax Lot 200) on January 4, 2016. Property was the site of two former plywood veneer mills that operated from the 1920s to 1965. The mills operated in succession and occupied different areas on the Property. Starting In the 1920s, ownership began with the Tillamook Spruce Veneer Company. In 1944, the property sold and was purchased by the Aberdeen Plywood Company which constructed a second mill on the property. There is no evidence that plywood manufacturing was ever performed on the property. The mill closed in the 1965 and the log ponds were drained. Fill material, possibly from the areas around the former mill buildings, was placed on the southeast corner of the west log pond around the same time as the closure of the West Mill. Property photos indicate that all structures were removed from the Property by the 1970s with the Property subsequently becoming overgrown with trees and dense vegetation. Purchased by the Port of Tillamook sometime prior to 1992, it was later sold in 2005 to Delta Property Management. The Property was then transferred into the Asghar R. Sadri Living Trust with no site improvements or operations.
