Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Four of the five parcels that comprise the Property appear to have always been residential or undeveloped (New Lexington Lots 216, 217, 218, and 219). Historical deeds indicate the easternmost parcel of the Property (Lot 215) was part of a bulk oil facility and filling station operated by the Stephens Oil Company by 1926 or earlier, sold to the Moore Oil Refining Company in 1927, and sold to the Pure Oil Company in 1929. According to Sanborn maps, by 1950 Lot 215 was the site of an automobile garage along Rush Creek, while the remainder of the facility immediately east of the Property contained multiple heating oil and gasoline tanks. Deeds indicate the facility was sold to the Neff Oil Company in 1963, then to Joseph Triona in 1970. Peoples National Bank acquired the land in 1990, possibly through bankruptcy. The bank sold the land to Paul Beckett in 1992; Beckett Sound and Video sold Lot 215 to Richard Adams in 2008. Ricks Auto Repair and Custom Exhaust operated at the Property from 2008 until around mid-2014 when it was shuttered and the business was relocated outside the county. Based on aerial photographs, the current structure on the Property dates to at least 1983.
