Additional Property Attributes

The subject property is situated at the northeast corner of County Road 480 and M-553. The property is developed with a 3,712 square-foot commercial building and 96 square-foot shed that are both currently vacant. Inter City Oil Company, Inc. (ICO) is the current owner and has not operated on the subject property for some time. Review of aerial photographs indicated that the subject property was developed sometime between 1981 and 1986 for gasoline dispensing services. A release was detected through a discrepancy of inventory records in June of 2001. Approximately 1,000 gallons of gasoline was presumed to have been released to the subsurface west of the building, in the location of the former pump islands. EPA grant funding for Phase II ESA was utilized to assess the location of former USTs that had been removed.

Former Use: The property was formerly owned by Inter City Oil Company which experienced a gasoline release at the subject property in June of 2001. Approximately 1,000 gallons of product was released, with select remedial activities being performed on the subject property and MDEQ closure granted in 2011. However, additional USTs were formerly present on site that were not assessed as part of the 2011 closure. EPA funded Phase II ESA activities were conducted in association with former UST locations.
