Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I assessment was complete in March 2017. Three REC/IA's were identified: former fuel dispensing operations, former auto garage operations, former AST farm operations. Limited phase 2 assessment will be performed under OhioEPA's 128(a) grant funding. If a release is identified Paulding County intends to apply for cleanup funding from the state Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup program.

Former Use: The Subject Property is currently vacant and undeveloped with no buildings or structures present. Former operations include a petroleum retail station, though, historic information and knowledge of the Subject Property is limited. From interviews and local information, the site formerly contained two structures (a garage and restaurant), which were completely removed from the property in approximately 2007. The original filling station had storage tanks above ground level. The gas station closed in the 1980s then re-opened in the early 1990s with two new storage tanks that were placed underground, and that this facility closed in approximately 2002. The property was forfeited to the state thru tax foreclosure.
