Additional Property Attributes

Burton School District is proposing to construct a kindergarten through 8th grade school on this 12.51-acre parcel. The proposed school will accommodate approximately 500 students in 28 classrooms.

Former Use: Historically, the Site was used as agricultural land prior to 1950 when the Porterville Drive-In Theater was opened. The Porterville Drive-In Theater operated until 2004. Structures included a smaller viewing screen in the northeastern portion of the Site, and a main viewing screen in the southwestern portion of the Site. All structures were removed from the Site between August and November 2016. At the time of the investigation, the Site was vacant, undeveloped land.
