Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property was developed along both Main Street and Columbus Street as early as 1895. The present buildings at 104 East Main Street, 106 East Main Street, and 106 South Columbus Street appear to date back to this time. The property at 100 South Columbus Street has two structures: the rear garage was built around 1940, and the main garage was built by 1975. According to Sanborn maps, the rear land of 100 South Columbus Street was the site of a farm machinery sales and service business from at least 1913 until at least 1943. According to the Property owner Mr. Kimpel, the front land of 100 South Columbus Street was the site of a fuel and service station with underground storage tanks from at least the 1950s to the 1970s. The remainder of the Property has housed various residences and commercial businesses, such as a barber shop, pet grooming salon, tailor, clothier, and post office.
