Additional Property Attributes

The Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) is in negotiations to purchase the site from City National Bank of New Jersey. CHLDC intends to purchase this site, as well as the adjacent site at 2827 Atlantic Avenue, after performance of a Phase I assessment to develop 151 units of affordable housing and 10,300 sf of ground floor retail.

Former Use: Historical documents indicate that a gasoline station has been located directly south of the Site, at 2820 Atlantic Avenue, since at least 1951, which was identified as an REC for the site. The site was previously used for commercial uses. In 1928, the site was occupied by a residence, Abendroth Auto Renting, and Nassau Cooperative Building and Loan. In 1934, residences and Nassau Cooperative Savings and Loan were at the site. From at least 1940 until 1985, Nassau Savings and Loan Association occupied the site. Carver Federal Savings Bank occupied the Site from at least 1992 until 2000. From at least 2005 until 2008, City National Bank occupied the site. Locksmith Express occupied the site in 2013.
