Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property was developed as a fuel and service station as early as 1940. Two underground storage tank (UST) systems were located on the Property: one operated by E.T. Williams (from approximately 1940 to 1998), which included 550-, 1000-, and 2000-gallon gasoline tanks; and one operated by Ashland Petroleum Co. (from approximately 1983 to 1996), which included two 2000-gallon gasoline tanks. E.T. Williams also operated two aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) containing diesel and kerosene. The Ashland tanks were removed in 1996 and received No Further Action (NFA) declaration from the Ohio Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) in 1998. The Williams tanks were removed in 1998. A partial Closure Report was submitted in 2007, however, one soil sample reported a benzene concentration of 166 mg/kg, which exceeded the Action Level of 149 mg/kg for Class 1 Soil. Due to the exceedance, a Tier 1 Source Investigation was required. To date, nothing has been submitted, and the release citation remains open. Part of the garage was converted to apartments in 2014.
